Lori Darnell
Lori’s love of Disney started several years ago when her youngest celebrated her 5th birthday in the Magic Kingdom. That vacation included being named “Family of the Day” not once, but the pixie dust hit twice! Several trips later, her passion for travel and for Disney led her to start her own travel agency. Lori started Minnie More Vacations with a vision to make families’ Disney dream vacations, and any vacation, a reality.
A lifelong traveler, Lori has lived all over the United States, including Michigan, Kentucky, New York City, Hawaii and California, but now calls Houston home with her husband and three children. Her extensive personal travels have broadened her experience in destinations around the world, including London, Paris, Calgary, Barcelona, and Madrid. Through her global connections, she possesses the unique perspective of traveling as a tourist, as well as knowing the locals.
No matter your budget, Lori will research and book the vacation that meets your family’s specific needs. Whether your trip is 2 nights or 14 nights, she will organize your days to make sure you get the most out of your stay. Have a special request? No problem! Lori is experienced in handling accommodations for food allergies, disabilities, and children with special needs.
Lori enjoys sharing her passion for travel with others. She has written travel articles for Energy Corridor Living and Absolutely Memorial! magazines that encourages families to share travel experiences with their children. As a mother of three girls, she knows how quickly children grow up. Now is the time to make memories that will last a lifetime and that may even become traditions for your children and future generations.
Take the vacation, make the memory.
‘Lori’s love of Disney truly shows in her work. She has a wealth of knowledge about the park and its processes which make her a valuable resource to a first time visitor or a repeat customer. Lori offered wonderful restaurant recommendations (and worked tirelessly to make the reservations) that were perfect for our family and offered great variety. Her process for selecting advance fast passes was clear and timely (i.e. excluded rides that were closed for renovation) and our discussions about what rides would be best for our age children were spot on. To top things off, Lori gave us great tips on inserting unplanned activities, maximizing our cell phone batteries and staying ready for fun. We look forward to planning another adventure with her.’ Kasey K, Houston, TX
